Vladislav Chernyshov ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Remora: Antivirus Protection mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information in the following ways:

Photos and Videos: With your explicit permission, the App accesses your photo library solely to perform cleaning, compression, and duplicate detection. We do not upload your media to any server — all processing happens on-device.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymised data about how you interact with the App (screens visited, features used) to improve the product.
Device Information: We may collect general device identifiers (operating system version, device model) for crash reporting and analytics.
Contact Information: If you contact our support team, we collect your name and email address to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain App functionality
To analyse usage patterns and improve features
To respond to customer support requests
To comply with legal obligations
To detect and prevent fraudulent activity

3. On-Device Processing

All cleaning, duplicate detection, compression, and Secret Space vault operations are performed entirely on your device. Your photos, videos, and personal files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers as part of these operations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymised, aggregated data with analytics providers. We may disclose personal information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We may use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

Apple App Store – subscription management
Analytics providers (e.g., Firebase) – anonymised usage metrics
Crash reporting tools – diagnostic data only

5. Secret Space

Files stored in the Secret Space vault remain on your device and are protected by your chosen PIN. We have no access to vault contents. If you delete the App, vault contents are permanently deleted.

6. Data Retention

We retain support correspondence for up to 2 years. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of any personal data we hold by contacting us at support@remora-protection.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@remora-protection.com.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
